We investigate, experiment, adive and train on the behaviour of metals against corrosion.

Since its inception in 1993, Labcyp has specialized in the study of corrosion processes in metallic materials.
We have participated in projects in which we have studied the behaviour of different metal alloys (aluminium alloys, carbon steels, stainless steels) against different types of corrosion (pitting, corrosion-erosion, biocorrosion).

We apply diverse experimental techniques for the study of this type of processes: electrochemical impedance, ACET tests, electrochemical noise, polarization tests, atmospheric corrosion.


We advise companies in the study, evaluation and solution of corrosion problems in industrial environments.


We teach different Specialization Courses on topics related to corrosion of metallic materials.
